My client is a leading company in the Cork region and they currently have a vacancy for a Java Developer Contractor for a 6 month period
The Java developer will be responsible for a Java implementation of a rules engine. The rules engine will retrieve data from a variety of data sources, and send the output to a web portal for end user consumption. Responsibilities of the developer would be:
· Create technical design documents
· Develop code to implement new rules engine functionality
· Work with business analysts and QA testers to coordinate testing and code fixes
· Provide regular status updates to project leadership
Skills
· 3+ years Java experience
· Knowledge of XML
· Experience with rules engines (e.g. FICO Blaze, Drools)
