My client is a leading company in the Cork region and they currently have a vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer with fluent German.
Work with enterprise customers in a diverse range of applications like animation/movie production, design verification, gene sequencing, high performance computing, and quantitative finance. You'll be working with a team of smart, passionate, and driven engineers.

Make it simple for our customers by delivering world class, value added service
Provide tier 2 technical support, installation assistance, and reproduce customer bug scenarios
Escalate applicable cases to the appropriate department
Share their knowledge and experience with customers and through documentation and mentoring
Have a common sense approach to solving issues, balancing their workload, and working with the Escalation team
We're looking for:
Fluent German
A strong customer service focus
Experience working in a support organization dealing with enterprise customers
Ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies and products
A self-starter able to handle multiple priorities at once
OS and System Administration experience: UNIX (especially FreeBSD), Linux, Windows, VMware
Networking and file serving protocol experience: TCP/IP, NFS, SMB, iSCSI, HTTP, FTP
Directory services experience: LDAP, NIS, ADS
Experience with network packet capture and analysis, understanding of layer 2/3 protocols
Familiarity with Bourne/Bash, Python, Perl desirable
