Senior Software Engineer Java - Dublin
My client, who offers arguably the best working environment in Ireland, has a program of work second to none. These projects are providing various technology challenges, and as a result we are building a team of highly skilled Java engineers. Currently we are looking to recruit Java engineers, Senior Java engineers, and a Lead developer with lead/management experience.
We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture as a senior software engineer. In this role you will be part of a team with responsibility for developing new enhancements to the application front-end, infrastructure upgrades and general support.
Responsibilities:
" Design, develop and implement data solutions using Java and JavaScript
" Ensure production platform stability
" Work as part of the project delivery team to ensure that requirements are delivered in accordance with business needs, including participation in project quality assurance.
" Design and perform unit level and integrated system testing
" Assist in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing and document and resolve issues
" Participate as part of a production support rota for the application
Qualifications
" Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline.
" Minimum of 6 years IT experience, with at least 4 years of development experience in a web based environment.
" Strong J2EE, JSP, Java, Spring and XML skills.
" Database interaction using Spring, iBatis, and JDBC.
" Experience with Eclipse and Tomcat.
" Experience with Oracle, Mule, JBPM, JMS or JMX an advantage.
" Experience with Agile development processes and principles.
" Full project life cycle experience.
" Strong analysis, design, and estimation skills
