I am currently hiring for a Technical Operations Engineer, with a huge focus on Candidates being a good ';Brand Fit’. The successful candidate will assist and support the IT operations and Development teams to design, maintain, support, influence and drive their software deliveries. Ideally we would like someone with 3+ years’ experience working in the IT sector with hands on knowledge of the skills mentioned above. We will consider graduates/candidates with less experience if they were a good fit, well-motivated and can demonstrate an ability to grow into an IT Operations role. This role reports to Technical Operations lead, with additional responsibility to Technical Product Development.
Key responsibilities and attributes:
* Day to day operations support of our live systems
* Processing and resolving technical queries, logging issues, reporting issues, managing issue escalation
* Preparation of test plans and test cases
* Execution of test scenario’s and comparison of results
* Following up with IT Operations and Development teams
* Must be able to work on your own initiative
* Should be outgoing with excellent communication skills
* An ability to get on well with others. A positive, proactive "can do” attitude
* Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
* Must have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised and flexible
Knowledge of any of the following languages - Portuguese, Chinese
(Mandarin), Spanish, French, Russian, Hindi, Malay - would be an
advantage.
Key Skills
* Thorough knowledge of how to manage client issues and interact with technical and non-technical client staff
* Ability to come up to speed quickly on our technology platforms

* Ability to work well with clients in international environments
* Strong database skills. Good knowledge of Oracle would be an advantage
* Knowledge of Java and UNIX/LINUX
* Knowledge of modern test methodologies and tools
* Strong understanding of product life cycle and deliverables
* Experience with MS Office products and good excel skills
* Bachelor’s degree in appropriate technical discipline
