The Middleware Administrator is responsible for deploying and supporting middleware applications using IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM’s middleware / transformation products. The ideal candidate will have seven or more years of experience with middleware administration in a financial services organization supporting custody and/or trading applications.
Principle Duties:
Deploy, Administer, Support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between financial applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance and configuration of IBM WebSphere MQSeries , Websphere Message Broker, WebSphere Application Server, IBM Enterprise Content Manaager and Tomcat.
Assess and identify appropriate changes and make recommendations for implementation.
Perform MQ/WMB/WAS/ECM etc system administration,troubleshooting, monitoring, problem resolution, system security and change implementation.
Work individually or in a team on various system projects related to UNIX, Linux, Windows and Application support.
Plan, prepare and apply maintenance fixes and upgrades to Webshere software.
Education:
6+ years IBM WebSphere Message Broker, Message Queing, Application Server, Enterprise Content Manager and Tomcat
5+ years experience of the full software development lifecycle.
Java and JMS a plus.
Should have strong UNIX/Linux operating system administration experience,.
Certification / Training in WebShere Suite.
